EASTer Goodies by minami63 EASTer Goodies by minami63
An origami bunny folded from mulberry paper watches over his lacquer tray of brightly colored chiyogami eggs. He's just waiting for us to look the other away so he can sneak away and hide them! I found the pattern for the bunny on the 'Net. The instructions for the eggs came from one of my Mom's old Sunset magazines, but DIY Network has something very similar. This is my entry for the Crafted Eastertide Contest.

 Thank you! I found those little grass pods at a furniture store! They were being used as fake grass in silk plants and I asked where they'd been purchased from. No one could remember where they'd bought the pods, but since they had zillions around the store, they offered to sell me a few! I think they're cool!

They are cool! And I can't believe it they didn't give them to you for free (since they had a lot of them).
Usually these things are bought in special stores that provide things to arrange window shops with. I have some old catalogues with the merchandise and WOW.. I'd have like half of the things :D They even have furniture and it's just awsome.... sorry... managed to get sidetracked

 You sound like me! I get really excited when I get my hands on catalogs with old Japanese ceramics or lacquerware. Every once in a while you'll see a piece from my collection sneak into one of my deviations, too. I didn't mind paying for the pods, since they didn't charge me very much and I'm sure they'll get a lot of use.

You're really close... they're called washi eggs after the name of the paper you use! Thank you for the compliment, too! :sushi:
