Biography
| Born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii where I still live. Graduate of the University of Hawaii with a degree in Computer Science. Working as a Corporate Controller for a lighting company since 1995. During the Summer months, I can be found dancing Obon (Japanese folk dance) at the various Buddhist missions around the island. I also dance Minyo (Japanese traditional dance) with a professional group. I do many different crafts, with crochet being my specialty. Two of my other favorites are bead embroidery and cross stitch. The majority of my works are original designs, mainly because I have an aversion to working from patterns, though I have come across the occasional patttern that piqued my interest enough for me to want to try it. I attempt to learn a new craft, or a new twist to an old craft, each year, which helps to keep my ideas fresh. |
